Yoga is the practice of unification. Through asanas (poses), vinyasas
(sequences) and prana (breath) we learn to unify the body-mind
connection. On a physical level, a typical class consists of a
sequence of asanas, or physical poses, designed to exercise all parts
of the body and to foster strength, flexibility, balance, alignment,
mental focus, discipline, and relaxation. While moving through the
asanas, supported by the breath, the practitioner also cultivates
balance between an active body and receptive mind, as well as strength
and fluidity, skill and intuition, and inner and outer awareness.
